    Default Forum load times.

G'day guys, since the upgrade I've noticed the load times for the site have increased. Is there anything you can recommend that I can change on my end to fix this, or is it an unintended side effect of the upgrade?
Performance beforehand was great after the migration to the new server.
    I currently use IE9 on Win7

I don't think that there is anything that you can do on your end Mark - although not using dial-up would be a good idea
I have noticed intermittently being a bit slower. I think there is alot more to load than the old site. Certainly seems ok compared to other vBulletin forums but I can't give a definitive answer sorry mate.
    Cheers, Dave

Thanks Dave, I didn't think so, but thought it worth checking. It's fine once I've logged in, just the initial step of logging in seems a bit slow. I should've elaborated on that in my OP.

There shouldn't really be much if any noticeable differences. Page load times are all well under a quarter of a second here.

I have noticed though that there's the odd compatibility issue with IE9 and vBulletin software. You could always give Firefox a try instead, it leaves IE9 for dead compatibility-wise. http://people.mozilla.com/~prouget/ie9/ie9_vs_fx4.html Not to mention safer and more secure with a plethora of wonderful free add-ons.

Thanks Rich, but I'm not sold on Firefox. From what I've experienced of it in the past I'm not so sure that it's actually a more secure browser than IE.

Having said that I've fired up Chrome and it's singing along very nicely. I guess the issue is with IE9. Thanks for the help anyway.

Good to hear it's moving along well now

I have just fixed one of the styling issues with IE9, the sidebar displays correctly now.
