    Default Wide screen Monitor

We have had quite a few comments regarding the cropping of our images ever since we
joined the Forum. Comments like ''not enough space or not wide enough'', or recently ''too
much space or too wide''. We have a wide screen monitor & usually crop our images to the
usual 3 by 2 ratio. It wasn't until we went to our son's place that we realized that on a normal
monitor our images look totally different to ours. We have an ACER AL1913W monitor. Is there an
adjustment process that we can do to change ours to a normal perspective monitor?
    Regards Keith

Normally, on the monitor it will have a button that changes the aspect ratio of the screen....I think.

Thanks for the reply Paul. Total of 5 buttons .
    1 AUTO, 2 VOLUME, 1 ON/OFF, 1 MENU.
We have been into MENU many times & nothing in there regarding
    aspect ratio adjustment.
    Cheers Keith

    Try This...

I'm a Mac user (so I'm going from memory) if you're using windows 7....

Right Click on the desktop screen (minimise anything else running to get there or click on the very bottom right rectangle)
    Choose Screen resolution.

On other versions of Windows go via the control Panel
    Cheers,
    Geoff

The windows solution for this is to:
    Go to desktop
    Right click, click "Properties"
    Select the "Settings tab"
Drag the little "resolution" bar until it gives a reading appropriate to the display of the monitor.

    That should do it

Depends on which version of Windows you're using as to how you change the screen resolution, though all are similar to those mentioned above.

I'd suggest changing the resolution (if it's not already) to the native resolution of your monitor, which happens to be 1440 x 900 in this case.
