Default WEEKLY THEME GALLERY 6/3/11 "SYMMETRY AT WORK"

Tough one last week wasn't it Good to keep you guys on your toes 8-)
This week is all about symmetry. It could be a bird and perfect reflection, a symmetrical front on view of a bird, two birds with identical poses....interpret it anyway you like
My one is a quick grab shot from a while ago which I would normally have put in the trash bin but the two gulls coming in from either side of frame sort of caught my eye.

This is the look a young rainbow bee-eater gives you right before it swoops over to your hiding spot to land less than a metre above your head.

I love watching swirling flocks of birds in flight. Lots of symmetry at work there.

Except for the scruffy looking Pied Cormorant This one is reasonably symmetrical.
Taken at Coolart Wetlands Vic on Sunday. Looks better in B&W IMO.

This is a shot I got back in 2008 6 days after getting my first DSLR, 70-300 kit lens.
    Musk Lorikeet (Glossopsitta porphyrocephala)
One bird is looking in the hollow, the other is looking around the back, it looks like a mirror image of the tail.
