    Default Controlling camera through IPad

Hi. Has anyone here looked into controlling their camera remotely through an Ipad. If so, what did you learn?

    cheers

I know that Nikon have the application "Camera Control" which works off a laptop. It works quite nicely, being able to control the camera completely like if you were using the camera (in case you didnt know this ). However, not sure if such an app exists for your devices.

I guess I could ask the same question about sound recording. Anyone looking at bird call recording on the Ipad. What have your discovered ?

There are certainly voice recording apps for iphone that i'm sure would be available for the ipad. I don't know if you can connect an external mic or not?

Actually looks like it might be possible.

Yes, I have a few of the voice recording apps and they work very well - at least they work very well when recording human voice. The fidelity when recording through the built-in mic and playing back through the built-in speakers is quite good as far as built-in components go. I'm wondering how the situation changes when you use a professional quality parabolic microphone in the field. I guess I dont know whether it is capable of high-end recording - and I dont know enough about audio to make an assessment.

    cheers
