Default WEEKLY THEME GALLERY 31/10/10 "OUR IMPACT"

Unfortunately if you are a bird watcher then you will have seen some kind of evidence of the negative impact that humans can have on the natural world. This weeks theme is all about that impact but if you have an image that shows a positive human impact then by all means post it up.

This Barn Owl certainly had a positive impact on the audience at Healesville
Sanctuary. Taken last week while entertaining overseas visitors to our Daughters wedding.

Negative impact - Native birds eating unatural food.
Every picnic spot has its resident scavengers, this one was taken at
Paradise Picnic ground Apollo Bay last week. We don't feed wild birds
but this guy flew out of nowhere when Keith picked a piece of fat out
of his ham roll. He looked quite pristine compared to most BBQ Bandits.
    Regards Keith & Judy
