Oh no, I've been pipped! Discovered just over a week ago that we have a highly coloured bird among the Bar-tails and tried to locate on Saturday morning at low tide where I might find it feeding. There are a couple of others also but not in same plumage state. Lots of other birds, some in good plumage but the one opportunity my target (after best light) presented was spoilt by a walker with dog, all I got were distant shots. I am sooo envious.

Regardless of the good bird image Adam, the merging of fore, mid and background is magnificent, very well done.

I think this is one of your best shorebird photos. The foreground and background all merge together beautifully with a colorful bird. The only thing missing is that drop of water off the edge of the bill to take it to another level. Well done.

Lovely work Adam. Really sweet pose, nice feather detail and colours and a lovely calm setting.

Lovely result Adam. The bird is slightly too central for my tastes and I would go for a more pano style crop as I see a little too much clear space below the bird. I agree the background colors look fantastic and overall setting is wonderful. Nicely done, Wilson

Love the depth of this! Shallow DOF has created a stunning image mate. Love the central placement top to bottom, but a little too much space on the left for me. I'd also love to see it a bit darker - feels a bit light on the plumage and it would also bring some more punch/saturation with it.
    Cheers, Dave
