Notes-As the water holes are drying out the soft silty bottom is exposed and then trampled into a rough bog by the many wild goats that visit each day . This then dries to form a potholed edge that is stripped bare of vegetation causing more erosion . The birds would prefer to drink out of the dried hoof print hollows than the actual water edge . This is only half of the large flock of Apostle birds that visited early that morning . Their arrival was announced by the most amazing loud calling and chatter that you would ever hear .
    Regards Woody .

Quite a gathering. Another vote for your pano crop. It works well here.

Nice shot of this aggregation Woody, haven't seen these birds in a very long time, they were far from my favourites then but I may have mellowed in the meantime.

What a delightful crew, Woody. Such an evocative image of the outback and of this social species. The crop works a treat.

I have just realised that my pano ratio should have read 3x1 not 2x1 as posted .

Yep agree with everyone else that the pano worked well. They really are a social bird.
