Default WEEKLY THEME GALLERY 25/7/10 "BIRDS OF PREY"

Some scruffy birds in last weeks gallery, well done to all contributors This week is all about raptors. Hopefully we will be able to get all the species, image quality is not a problem so post away

I have posted this shot a while ago but thought I'd add it again. Brown Falcon (Falco berigora) with juvenile Tiger Snake taken at Point Cook Coastal Park.

I'm afraid I will have be guilty of posting an image I have already posted before; unless I get something when I go out for an hour this arvo

Nankeen Kestrel (Falco cenchroides) checking something out - maybe another raptor.

I don't often go after birds of prey, so I have little in the way of images of them.

Nankeen Kestrel perched on a cliff top along the coast near Adelaide.

Grey Goshawk (Accipiter novaehollandiae) White morph.
Much (too much!!) excitment spotting this one close to the road, two illegal U turns, some very upset roadworkers, an illegal stop (forcing others over the double lines ) and my mother (visiting from UK) telling me I'm looney (I'm 58 and she still tells me off) and I still forgot I had the camera set on manual... :x
A bit 'hot' but it could have been worse.
