Default WEEKLY THEME GALLERY 27/6/10 "UNNATURAL PERCHES"

What a fantastic gallery of weather/feather images we had last week This week is all about manmade perches, the stranger the better.
Any image with a manmade perch is up for inclusion and image quality is not a major worry so post away.

    Willie Wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys)

Thats right, not just one tap head but two, this bird must have been a plumber in its last life

    Flame Robin (Petroica phoenicea)

I love this species but I absolutely hate, loathe, detest, abhor this wire fence perch.

    40D, 300mm + 2.0 TC, ISO 400, 1/800, f/8.0, tripod, vertical crop from horizontal.
    Cheers,
    Geoff

I'm glad Paul made the comment about image quality, both mine are pre SLR.

Young Tawny Frogmouth on... or should that be IN a very odd perch.

Geoff reckons his wire fence is a shocker - how about this - a very tyred Grey Butcherbird! Photographed in Brisbane a couple of years ago.

I'd be honoured if a Jacky used my finally resting place as a lookout.

A Pied Cormorant at Mornington (Vic) beach. It obviously cannot read or is a non-conformist. I like his attitude.
