Default WEEKLY THEME GALLERY 22/5/10 "BUSH BIRDS"

Well done with all the flock shots from last week guys and girls

Starting the theme a day early this week, I'm off to the Grampians for the weekend for some much needed rest and relaxation.
I thought we could welcome Richard Hall into the role of moderator with a theme that will suit him down to the ground "Bush birds" is a pretty loose classification but any bird of the bush is up for inclusion (so I'm not expecting to see any waders, egrets, or pipits ).
Hopefully I get to see a whole heap of bush birds this weekend, wish me luck

    Diamond Firetail (Stagonopleura guttata)

    Canon 5D 400mm f5.6 L iso 400 1/500th f5.6 handheld
Photoshop- slight s/h adjustment, selective sharpen, slight desat of bill

My fave bush bird would be the Red-capped Robin, but my fave image of one isn't of a male, it's of this female.

    Eastern Yellow Robin (Eopsaltria australis)

I'm surprised some one had not posted one of these little cuties. A quintessential bush bird.

PP: ACR ~ crop & tweaks, PS ~ targeted smart sharpen.
