Default Bird call MP3 - Alcedo azurea?

Just wonder if anyone knows where I can find a good quality audio file of the Azure Kingfisher..
I've seen CDs and such on the net with various species but I don't really want to spend $30 for just one bird call, I'm after this species in particular

Is any able to help me? Plueease?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think Azure Kingfishers don't call very much, only short, sharp calls in flight.
I have one from a CD, but I'm not sure if it's possible to upload it and it will breach copyrights

They call quite a bit and respond quickly to a tape. Just have to be judicious in it's use. Just a quick burst otherwise they can get agitated.

Good luck! I have tried a couple of times, though not with a visible bird only in the area where they often are, but never had any response. Far better to do some good fieldwork and use a hide. If you sit still in the spot where they fish they will quickly come and use their favorite perches. You will need to find them though. Surely one cannot be so desperate just for the sake of a photograph?

    Hi Jacci,
Let me know if you still want any bird calls. I'm currently on the road and will home in another couple of days and would be happy to send you a copy of the BOCA call/s. I have used the Azure call with mixed success. Some birds appear to remain in place a little longer when approaching with a canoe, I have yet to get one to come towards the call. Like a lot of other species this could vary with seasonal factors.

    Best wishes
    Gerard
