    Default 3,500,000 Candlepower Spotlight

I just got myself a 3,500,000 Candlepower Spotlight from Bunnings for Half Prince as it has a Crack in the Glass (See Pic Attached) and I was just wondering if I should get it glued together or will that just melt. The Crack leaves the glass in two pieces and I dunno if It will be able to withstand being out of a Car Window ...

Not sure, but I think it will melt. It will also damage night bird eyes...

I have same in the 5,000,000 candle power version.....melts road tar at 100 metres lol lol

Just use a bit of araldite or superglue to hold the glass in position, it'll hold OK. I've used mine a number of times spotting boobook, possums etc with good success, but dont shine it for any length of time directly into the animals eyes....but on full beam power you will get no more than 10 minutes from a full charge so spot lighting out of your car will be a short lived experience.

The glass on mine is also cracked now, they are not designed for rough use, so from a car you had want to be gentle.

The lens gets very hot so be very careful with any sealer you use. Remember not to shine it directly into a bird's face. Once you spot a bird move it off centre so you don't blind the poor bird and ruin its night vision or worse.
