    Black-faced Cormorant (Phalacrocorax fuscescens) flying along the Denison canal at Dunalley, Tasmania on 10 May 2012.

    • Exposure time 1/4000 sec.
    • Exposure bias +0.3 step
    • Available light.
    • Focus Distance 32.4m.
    • Hand held.
    PP in PS CS5. Crop. Selective curves, shadows and highlights. Selective sharpen and noise reduction.

    Great shot, I like the pose and the colours all look good with nice detail in the blacks and whites. You have managed good eye contact and the light is nice with no major shadows hitting the bird. A top image.

    Nice BIF.

    Just wondering if a slightly different comp, raising the bird would improve the BG (by removing the top bit)?
