Head is sharp with nice detail. Not much DOF. BG looks a bit funny under the bird?

Nice pose and as mentioned head is nice and sharp, glad to see you got a few keepers from the spot. Geoff the bg is actually running water over rock.

Tones look a bit cold to me, kind of blueish all around the photo. A lot of details, I liked the birds pose and framing a lot.

Thanks for the feedback yeah background is running water Geoff (thanks Duade) DOF a bit thin as bird was really close![]()
I like it Mike, the DOF could be better if you went to iso1600 and f8. When you are wanting the shot I find I often think just get the bird then start to think about camera settings.
