Final post from last weeks low tide session, this one was a relatively large crabs for our foreshore area, 40 -50mm across. Not sure of the specie for this one.

How'd you get so close? Were you playing statues?
My limited experience(i.e. I get the sh!ts with the buggers) is they just don't like peoples being near them.

Hi Chris, a matter of them being in a place where they want to 'stand their ground' and then dont to anything to spook them further.
