    Default memory card worn out?

I have recently noticed a ret dot (pixel?) appearing in the same place in some photos. Attached example.
Would this be an overused memory card (panasonic 4Gb 18months & old used daily) or something in the canon camera itself?

Could be a so called 'hot pixel'. Google for camera hot pixel. Most posts seem to be advising to remove it in photo shop as there is not much you can do about it. If still under warranty you could take the camera back and see what the response is.

They are also sometimes referred to as "dead" or "stuck" pixels. There is not much you can do about it from what I've read as well. I have them show up sometimes but not in all my images. Do some research and you may find a fix.
