    Default After a Crop

Just wondering if anyone has any idea on what minimum size an image can be after a crop to still maintain good quality........ eg I cropped in 100% on a shot I took today and the end result with 300DPI is 1.6 meg, is this usable? Jack.

I would say it all depends on how much the IQ of the image is affected. I've seen images with 100% crop, and the IQ is still quite good. But you have to start with a good quality image first.
Perhaps if you posted the image in question it might be more easier to comment on that particular image.

    Hi Jack,
As Mark said firstly it will depend on the original file quality. Also and probably most importantly, it will depend on what the output is? If its just for sharing on the web at small resolution then it would be fine but if you needed to print it in a book then i would suggest not.
    Cheers, Dave
