    Default Forum loading issues

At first I thought it was just my work connection, but I am having the same issues at work and at home. Basically, browsing the forums is so slow. Everything take sages to load. Attempting to post a thread is a nightmare, as it constantly times out :/ Took me 4 attempts to get the Crimson Rosella thread to appear!~ Also, when I try and reply to a post or create a thread, the text box doesn't load and I can't type anything! Unless I either refresh or click the reply to thread button.. damn annoying (see below).

Surely it can't just be me??

Adam, I'm not having any of the issues you've described.

Is anyone else having loading issues like Adam has described?
    Cheers,
    Geoff

Occasionally this was occurring. Not in the last two weeks or so.

Seems to be getting worse for me :/

And it's only this site I have issues with.

Does happen to me a little bit (not the timing out thing though??) but I just load the page again if the reply box is not there and normally works second time around (but is annoying).

Lack of reply box happens frequently with me, and I have found, in the last week, that pages can sometimes take a while to load. At other times, it will be lightning quick

Relieved that I'm not the only one experiencing the issue.

My guess is it has somethoing to do with the hosting and server loads. I'm assuming we're on a shared server, as this site itself would be too small to cause server load issues.

Note the above are all assumptions, I don't know the details of the sites hosting.

I've also found load times can vary a bit and be inconsistent.

yes also here, since the upgrade really .. its even worse if you arent logged on it seems sometimes.. sometimes the page just wont finish loading, but if i hit the stop button and reload it loads up lickety split!, hard one to figure? .. at first i thought it was extra bloating features of new upgrade, like the sidebar with recent posts in it on seemed a likely culprit, which i really like, but could live without no worries just the same .. i have decent adsl 5-6 Mb average speeds, and no other sites give me trouble .. just saying

EDIT should add, some days theres no problems loading pages, good 70-80 % of time.. and its lightning quick as per usual, but also noticed maybe intermittent problem is at its worse when site is at its busiest traffic times

We're not the most computer savvy people by a long shot but the Forum is incredibly slow compared to any
other sites that we browse, particularly when starting or replying to a thread.

Some of the issues I've also encountered before, though it was sometime ago and were observed to be when server loads were very high (yes, we're on a shared server). However, server loads have been great for quite sometime now and on the odd occasion I've seen a problem, it doesn't seem to correspond to server loads at all.

We'll look into it some more and see if there's anything we can change our end that may help.

It's very slow, or non-responsive for me at work, or home, at around 60-70% of the time.

One thing that might be worth trying while this issue is looked into, is your browser. Currently I'm using Chrome which I'm finding to be faster and more reliable in terms of handling this site than Firefox or Internet Explorer.
