    Well done to Trevor M for his excellent Golden Whistler image.



    Probably a once in a lifetime shot of this species, luck factor 11 out of 10, but isn't that what bird photography is all about, the challenge? Doesn't get too much better than this one!
    A fantastic shot that represents both colours and habitat accurately, well done.
    Super sharpness with a great pose and composition

      Thanks very much for to those who nominated this photo as image of the week. It a real honour to have this chosen among so many good photos posted. A subject with lots of visual appeal and perhaps just enough ability on my part to take advantage of a situation that presented on a fairly casual walk with a friend. Thanks again
