• 2012 *** Image of the Week 20/2/2012

Congratulations this week goes to Ray Walkers image of a very stately looking Whistling Kite. Well done Ray, you have certainly come a long way since joining the site

Heres what some of you had to say about the winning image

    I like it.

Easily Ray's best shot on this site. An Excellent image.

A winner all over, the eye contact is superb and drags you into the bird. The perch and detail is amazing.

Detail and control of exposure are fantastic!!

Other nominated images are as follows:-

    Frilled Monarch - Geoff Longford

    Common Bronzewing - Adam Blyth

    Brown Thornbill - Coxy

    Juv. Osprey - Shelley

Whistling Kite in flight - Ray Walker

    Yellow-tufted Honeyeater - Margaret Leggoe

Tasmanian Native Hen - Eric Tan (MountainMan)

Thanks girls... It is a humbling experience for me to be judged IOTW winner amongst such high standard photographers that are on this ( the best) forum. When I first joined, to think I would be in this position was equal to winning lotto. Thanks to everyone who has passed on their advice, because without it I would still be using my P@S.

      Cheers Rev.
