    I had to be heavy handed with the vignette due to a very distracting background, not much I could do because of the location. The swamp banksia goes thorough about 5 stages during flowering. Lots of green when immature, golden colour when flowering, it then turns a brown once dead, later the cone turns grey and then you eventually see the seed pods appear and they open. This flower is right at the end of flowering, still golden but the brown is starting to show.
